Browse for folder where to search images in the left tree, drag it and drop on the folders list at the middle of the program window. Also you can use buttons ">" and "<" to add or remove a folder from the list. Ensure that folders where you want to search for images are selected (have a tick near the caption). If you want to scan folders including their subfolders then select the Scan subfolders checkbox.
Next you should select file masks to search for. At the right pane there is mask list. Select all masks that you need and add new file masks that aren't in the list. To add a new mask just type it in the box above the list and press the blue "down arrow" button.
Then you can start to search for images by pressing the Start scan toolbar button or select Files, then Start scan command from the top menu. To stop searching press the Stop scan toolbar button or select Files, then Stop scan command from the top menu.
