Selecting drives or folders where to search image files
Previous  Top  Next

The Folders Tree view on the Search Images page allows you to browse through the computer file system and network resources.

When a folder or a drive is shown in the Folders Tree view it can be dragged and dropped by mouse to the folder's list where to search for images. Also, it is possible to select a folder from the Folders Tree view and then press the ">" button to add folder into the list. The list of folders is stored in the "paths.lst" file in the program home folder and at the next program start all stored folders are shown in this list.

If the folder's list already has folder(s) where it is need to search for images, then just pick up appropriate items. To exclude some of folders from searching process just unpick them. By checking or un-checking folders in the list user can control where to search for images. There can be checked more than one item.

There is the Scan subfolders checkbox above the folder's list. By default it is set on. The program will search for images in folders and subfolders. To search only within listed folders without subfolders de-select the Scan subfolders checkbox. It controls how scanning process will operate with all folders in the list.

To remove a folder from folder's list select that folder and use the "<" button. Also the same operation is accessible through right click pop-up menu over the folder list. That menu contains two commands: Remove selected folder and Remove all folders from the list.
